I love this idea. I have been using Ubuntu for a year now. I cannot imagine going back to solely using any other OS. It really keeps my older computers running where Windows was not cutting it. Oh yeah and my name is Derek.

I installed Ubuntu 11.10 a few weeks ago.

I am running Chromium as my web browser.

Much better graphics, and much faster browsing than Windows XP.

Has made my Sempron 2800+ 1.6GHZ with 1GB ram viable for a little longer.

Hello everyone! I have been using Linux for about 3 years now. Initially I started off using CentOS to mess around with some basic webserver stuff at home and then moved over to using Ubuntu. I first used a *nix system back in 2002, I think it was Solaris 8, and I was immediately impressed with its stability and performance. I spent a great deal of time just sitting around messing with the system and learning the commands which turned out to be a good thing as it gave me the skills I needed to do the Job I do today. Currently I am working as a Unix Systems Administrator.

New to the forums. Not entirely new to Ubuntu (Played with Jaunty Jackalope on up to Natty Narwhale on old laptop; more of a hobby at the time).
