Welcome folks.
Welcome folks.
Ubuntu Forums Admin, Staff, and Members,
I would like to thank you already for the nice warm welcome I am about to receive the minute I Submit this Thread. My name is Jason and I am from Northeast, Tennessee. I have been using Linux for sometime now. I started down the long path of freedom back in 2012. I had two machines one with Ubuntu 13.10 and the other with Fedora 17.
I took a little break from Fedora in early 2015 and decided that I would continue my quest using Ubuntu. I currently run two systems with Ubuntu. One has Lubuntu 14.04 LTS. This machine is a very old Acer Laptop. It has early release of Windows XP. My newer Dell Desktop 780 32Bit has Ubuntu 15.04 with the Cinnamon 2.6 Desktop Environment.
My background in computers started in the mid 1990s with Windows 95. In 2007-2009 I took some collage courses to get certified in Computer Applications. Those where mainly Microsoft products. In late 2009 I started self study of servers, networking and hardware. I spend most of my time repairing and rebuilding older machines. I use the Lubuntu 14.04 LTS for most of these systems.
I felt after several years playing with Linux and Ubuntu I decided it was time to join the Ubuntu Community. Thanks for having me. I hope we will learn together.
~Jason
