    damn....freaking system....
dont know when i can use it as fluent as windows....
i hate it... yet love it. cant give it up....
its so clean, so full of art and freedom.
but i have to know exactly what the hell im doing before i click on sth. or type following some guide on the web-site, otherwise i ll mess things up, or even **** up the whole system-i got it crashed by that 2 times.....even installing a video driver can become a nightmare on this system... but still, i love it. i dont know why. i guese "control you are in, responsibility you have to take." That's the phylosophy of using this system.

Re: Welcome to the Forums - Introduce yourself here

    Hello All,
As like most of others in this thread, I am also a new member and new to linux as well. Found this forum a very good place to learn basic things to start using linux easily.

All my OS experience is MS Windows based and was using win7 before migration. Also I have some experience in PHP/MySQL, Apache basics, VB.Net

Currently using Xubuntu and found it better than both KDE and Unity/Gnome.

    Regards,
    Adeel

Hey people, new to Ubuntu kinda... I've had 3 or 4 installations in my life, but never took the time to get into it. Now, I'm just really frustrated by Windows, so I've moved over to Ubuntu Studio and the Terminal commands are going to be fun to learn I can tell. Looking forward to interacting with this great community!

Re: Welcome to the Forums - Introduce yourself here

Hi everyone! I'm a new Linux user, from MN, and went with 12.04 as my first install. I've been a strict MS OS user since the days of DOS6.22, but have dual-booted 12.04 with Windows 7 to give it a try. I'm liking it so far, but I have SO much to learn. I've already utilized posts on this forum for minor issues I've had along the way. Thanks for all those who have contributed solutions!

Hi everyone! It's pretty nice to be here. I thank you for your words of welcome. Being a new Ubuntu user I do need to learn a lot. All of my experience with Linux is related to Mint10 -since 6 months ago. Now with Ubuntu 10.10.
