Welcome to all
Started using Ubuntu 10.10 a couple weeks ago and am very pleased with my experience so far. I am glad that there are so many resources to help get me along. Thanks in advance to anyone who may help me out in the future!
Hi I joined when the Cafe was down.. I had an old Dell Precision 220 with Win 2000 on it. After seeing Ubuntu being talked about I decided to switch this box. I love it.. I am thinking about using it on other older boxes instead of junking them. Wireless and wired network both work, my network printer, a Brothers 2170W works and I can access my LaCie network drive..
Hey everybody! I am just starting to get the hang of this site.
I also joined up while the Cafe was down. I've been using Ubuntu since just before 10.10 was released. I've completely dropped M$, even at work, and my MacBook has been relegated as a WoW machine.
Hey, I'm new to ubuntu, installed it about 1 week ago. I was sick of windows. 'm really enjoying it, and wish to learn more about it, and possibly help others.
I'm totally new in the Ubuntu "world"!
I have quite some experience in coding the old window style, but it's time for something new! i have had a Warrock hack forum, and were active sometime in the hackworld of warrock. how ever somehow i came on ubuntu and now i'm here! My english is rubbish, and I'm from the Netherlands!
as i said i'm new to ubuntu. I'm a quite fast learner and figured somethings out. i now have a nice mac OSX desktop and also have compiz worked as well. but ofcourse i will get some problems with ubuntu so that's why i joined this forum.
What is up people. Friend has had Ubuntu for awhile, but I just came around to installing it. I really can't explain why I got Ubuntu, I guess after seeing my friend use it it was like that cool new toy that trumped all yours. Plus to me, Ubuntu functions the right way.
Thanks to all who will help me, and don't worry, I'm a fast learner.
