Re: Welcome to the Forums - Introduce yourself here

    Hi,

Have been using this site as a reference point for some time and finally decided to register. Love Ubuntu and its various flavours! Looking forward to mostly continue on Xubuntu!
Currently using 12.04 LTS and the desktop builds for Lubuntu and Xubuntu. Upgraded Xfce to 4.10 and love it!

    Thanks!

Re: Welcome to the Forums - Introduce yourself here

    Hi everyone!
I'm Alex, newly registred user, but reader from a long time.
This forum has been really helpful to understand ubuntu, and linux in general. Now I have been able to overcome the difficulties of switching OS (windows -> ubuntu) on a daily basis.
I'm using ubuntu as a home server, and for my desktop/laptop's every day computing.
The biggest issue for the switch was that I work in home automation, and software to program thoses system only run on windows. But then I discovered ubuntu + virtualbox + windows xp + seamless mode and it was the magical solution that I was waiting for! Now I can quickly beenfit from the 2 os, thank to the community! Now I hope to see more and more program being developped for Tux, so I can completely remove windows and benefit from the big and open world of linux completly!

By the way 1, I speak french, sorry if I do weird sentences lol
By the way 2, I'm looking for ressources (books, tutorial, etc..) about how to create, manage and troubleshoot mid-scale wireless network (installation between 2-10 AP at customer house) and the hardware that I prefer is Unifi.. so if someone have suggestions, it would be welcome!

    Have a great day!

Welcome Alexandre_Dnomme. Try posting your networking questions in a support forum for more luck getting help, Networking & Wireless might be the one. This forum section is not for support so you probably won't get much/any here.

    Good luck and enjoy!
