I certainly have! So far it's running just great, but the options for games is still pretty limited. Got Starcraft 2 running on wine 1.5 the other day though, and it works a treat.
The main barrier for me last time I tried this was GFX driver support, but that seems to have improved a lot in the last year.

Hi
I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Peter Maddison, I am fairly new to Ubuntu, I first started with Ubuntu 11.10 when a Schoolfirend, who'd moved to USA got me interested in Ubuntu after I was explaining how much I hated the new Window$7 (I was an XP user). I tried it first on the DVD and was instantly hooked.
I have since removed Window$ from my system and it is now a single boot system with Ubuntu 12.04LTS.
I am so happy with it my new OS, I would like to give something back so I am giving some of my time to promote Ubuntu so, after finding out that System76 are giving away FREE stickers, I decided I would be their UK outlet. So... please contact me to find out hot to get your free stickers.
Thanks for your time.

Hi, I joined the forums back in 2011, but I hadn't needed to turn to the forums for anything from that point until now, and taking a look around I like the community I see around here!
I'm committed to non-hierarchical, liberatory, communitarian and democratic frameworks in all aspects of my life and FOSS gels with my left-libertarian socialism/anarchism just so. Nothing more radical than everyone getting everything for free, and open source is a massive help with the tech side of that struggle.
Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to Ubuntu. I've only been using Ubuntu since 2012. I started messing with my netbook as a result of stepping on it. And then I decided to start changing everything including the OS from WinXP. Although Im still learning the linux world (particularly Terminal) I'm quite happy with Ubuntu. Either way I'll probably be posting some seemingly simple questions so I hope everyone can bare with me.
So far I've found tonnes of good information on the site!
So I guess this is my hi to everyone
