Re: Welcome to the Forums - Introduce yourself here

    Hi all
StickyMick here. My first visit to the forums. But not my first foray into Linux O/Ss.
Tried a few distro CDs on my desktop and just converted a defunct Win Vista *spit* Acer Laptop to Ubuntu and I'm pretty surprised how much the Maemo5 O/S of my N900 compares to Ubuntu.

Hope to gain and swap some ideas in time

    Regards.

Re: Welcome to the Forums - Introduce yourself here

Hello everyone I have been an on and off linux user but now I need to master linux more than ever now becuase I am going for my LPCI 1, 2 & 3. I want to have full controll of my system and to have the oppourtunity to feel the rush that others feel when programing and having full control of their OS's. I like to also network with linux users as well. I currently reside in Columbus, OH. geographical location isn't an issue. just let me know if you are in columbus that's all.

    Thank you.

    Hi
I'm in Richards Bay, Zululand, South Africa
I was pretty much a staunch Mint user until Lisa and the advent of gnome3 and Cinnamon
I'm pleasantly surprised--given some perceptions with bad press--with my experiences with Unity!
So... also a BIG welcome to new users of Ubuntu!

    Hey

I thought I would introduce myself. I am finally embarking on my Linux adventure. I've decided to install Linux on my home machine simply because I will be creating a deployment server at work soon and thought I would get more accustomed to Linux prior to this. I'm currently awaiting 397 updates to download and install then hopefully get a few bits of software installed. I'm sure I'll be a frequent visitor as I know I will get stuck a couple of times along the line!

    Ciao
