Wireless on HP Compaq NX9005 - Lucid 10.04 beta2
I've just installed Lucid beta2 (10.04) - xubuntu - on an old HP nx9005 compaq laptop and all's fine except wireless networking doesn't work. wlan0 shows up using the iwlist command, and the command lshw -C network shows that network-0 is the wireless LAN, BCM4306. This network seems to be disabled, with network-1, the ethernet interface, being the default. My question is - how to make the wireless the default, and get it up and running so it's no longer disabled? BTW, Lucid beta2 works fine on my desktop, with no wireless problems.
