    How do I install cheese?

Hi, I have reinstalled Ubuntu after some time, I need to install cheese. I had problems last time until I installed a flash player or some such, then it worked. I tried typing install cheese in terminal but it did not want to know.
Any instructions, + what should I add to this new installation.

    Thanks.

    Try typing

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install cheese
Enter your password when prompted, it won't show but it is being entered.

Applications > Ubuntu Software Center, search for cheese, install . Or click here to install it straightaway. Both methods do the same thing as what howefield said

Re: How do I install cheese?

So many methods of installing Cheese on Ubuntu I've got three more:

    1. In the terminal, type "cheese". It will tell you what to type to install Cheese.

    2. Hit Alt-F2 and type: "apt:cheese". It will install.

    3. It also works if you just type "apt:cheese" in the address bar of your web browser.

But why type? You don't need to touch the command-line to install software. Cheese can be easily installed by going to Applications > Ubuntu Software Center and browsing around for it.
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.

I recommend wxcam instead of cheese. It is a bit more advanced.

    Absolutley...

but sometimes there is nothing like a small bite of "cheese"..

    it's a small, do-one-thing-and-do-it-right, drop-dead simple unix-style app.

    5)stop chewwing
    6)swallow cheese
