Re: How do I install cheese?
So many methods of installing Cheese on Ubuntu I've got three more:
1. In the terminal, type "cheese". It will tell you what to type to install Cheese.
2. Hit Alt-F2 and type: "apt:cheese". It will install.
3. It also works if you just type "apt:cheese" in the address bar of your web browser.
But why type? You don't need to touch the command-line to install software. Cheese can be easily installed by going to Applications > Ubuntu Software Center and browsing around for it.
I try to treat the cause, not the symptom. I avoid the terminal in instructions, unless it's easier or necessary. My instructions will work within the Ubuntu system, instead of breaking or subverting it. Those are the three guarantees to the helpee.
