    HP dv8100 Wireless Not Working

Firstly, I am completely, 100% a linux n00b, lol. I Installed Ubuntu 9.10 on my laptop last night and after spending a few hours yesterday and today trying to figure it out, I can not get the wireless working. I am dual booting with Windows XP.

If there is anymore information I can provide, let me know. It is a bit of a pain since I am in XP now, and to do anything in linux I have to restart, boot into linux, and then not have internet to see anything, lol. Only have this comp atm.

All I can tell from all of this is that the wireless card seems to be turned off. However, it is on in BIOS, and I booted into XP first, and it is on in there as well. Also, the wireless light on the laptop is illuminated while in Ubuntu.

I forgot to copy lsmod and dmesg, so I will have to boot back into linux and grab those.
