Never have and never will since the blacklisting model of the AV vendors is outdated and largely ineffective (even on Windows). A much better approach is a whitelisting approach like one finds with MAC systems like AppArmor.

But I do not run a mail server with Windows clients.

Only on my mail gateway, for mail account accessed by windows users, clamav.

On my Linux desktop machines I don't bother.

You may encounter some user-level malware in the form of IRC bots from time to time but malware is certainly uncommon unless targeted.

On the Vista partition on my laptop and the XP partition on my server machine, I use AVG free. On my Ubuntu server I use clamav (mainly out of courtesy for Windows users who might want to interact with me, and because my ISP seems to think it's a good idea to have something on a mail server), and currently nothing on the Ubuntu partition on my laptop or my backup machine.

The only trouble I've had on my own machines that was definitely attributable to malware was on XP on my main desktop, where I removed AVG & put on another "freebie", and then deliberately opened a file I knew to be infected and listed in AVG's database. Several hours later after a fresh install......... I haven't had any comparable problems in Ubuntu.

I moved on to Ubuntu after I had to face some data loss due to the virus, this took place a long time back and since then I didn't have to face with any issues of data loos and my work has been going on smoothly. Never have I felt the need to have AV for Ubuntu. I don't think that any need would arise any time soon.
