OO 3.1.1 STILL won't use TBird addressbook

    9.10 with Open Office 3.1.1

Open Office STILL won't utilise the Thunderbird Address book as an address data source.
THIS IS A SERIOUS FLAW, because OO on Windows WILL.

Can someone please get this sorted?

I think that is something for the open office people, not for here.

I'm currently trying to ascertain whether users of other distros have the same problem.
AFAIR this function worked OK in previous versions of Ubuntu with version 2.x of Open Office....

Er.. no. This is an Ubuntu packaging problem. Stock open office from the open office website includes this feature: http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=75218

Would be good to get it back in, or at least know the reason for it's removal. My guess would be that it's to do with minimising ISO space..
