Toshiba Mini NB305-310 v10.04 will not boot
I'm new to the forums (and Ubuntu) so please let me know if I'm posting this in the wrong place or violating any protocols.
Just got a Toshiba Mini NB305-310 and wanted to partition the hard drive and install the newest Ubuntu netbook remix. Downloaded 10.04 netbook i386 .iso file, used unetbootin to create a bootable disc from a flash drive. My netbook booted from the flash drive fine, so I installed and partitioned the hard drive.
Restarted computer. Booting up ubuntu gave me: gave up waiting for root device error.
Attempting to boot windows: windows loading screen comes up, screen flashes blue, computer restarts.
I have no idea how to remedy this situation. Any help's greatly appreciated.
I'm still able to boot off the flash drive. I can now boot up in ubuntu, but it takes a LONG time at the initial black screen. Same problem with Windows.
