The title prety much says it all. I have a laptop with a nVidia GeForce 9400M G graphical card and I'd like to underclock the GPU. The GPU is running a lot hotter than usual and I don't feel like having an expensive paperweight. I've already tried the Coolbits in the nvidia-settings but it doesn't change anything. I've tried the nvclock with the same result. And finally, I've tried: "me@computer:#!/bin/bash""me@computer:nvidia-settings -a GPUOverclockingState=1 -a GPU2DClockFreqs=200,0 -a GPU3DClockFreqs=350,0" in the console", still with no success. As far as I'm able to understand, I think nVidia disabled the possibility of clocking this graphical card, but as I said, I don't feel like having an expensive paperweight. Anybody knows a solution for this situation? Thanks in advance.
