    lost video after envy drivers enabled

    Hello,
    I am running 9.04 on an Dell Vostro 1700 laptop. I tried to enable drivers using the Envy settings. Now my login screen is blank. I can hear myself logging in but I have no video. I am afraid I have selected the wrong driver or no driver. Can someone help in getting my video back.
    i ran this command in recovery mode
    dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
    it did nothing as far as a reconfigure goes? I am at a loss.
