Livecd not booting

Recently I got a new computer
Intel core 2 duo E7500 chipset
and gigabyte s-series GA-G41M-Es2l
Intel G41 express chipset
I inserted the ubuntu 9.10 disc in... and I clicked on livecd option and few seconds latter I got a trace back report ...
what do i do??
is it that my motherboard doesn't support ubuntu or what is wrong
why can't i boot into livecd ???

thanks for the link, i couldn't quiet spot my chipset number there ! does it mean ubuntu won't work on my comp. ???
