    wine/ win program problems

    I installed wine, and a few emulators like PJ 64 and also stepmania (win) not the tar.gz
    and for some reason everytime i TRy to use them the video quality will be good and they dont crash but the sound is horribly distorted...could i need a different audio plug in? or are thos programs not compatible?

    HELP!!!!

    Wine is able to run some Windows applications without problems, and many more with problems. It is not a complete solution for Linux-Windows interoperability at this time.

    Check http://appdb.winehq.org for per-app compatibility.

    If you require running Windows applications on Linux, look into virtualization. It is far more reliable.

    Wine is very rarely the correct solution to your problem. What are you trying to run? It's likely that there's a native application that will do what you want.

    stepmania and the project 64 emulator ...but i've been using mupen64 and it works out...i cant even use a genesis emu they always screw up...and crash
