another isue is Java update 18... for firefox....i've removed all java from laptop using synaptics...... installed jre the .bin file, dealt with the pointer i.e. the OS uses the right java.....made the symbolic link,,,,in firefox/plugins directory then restarted firefox... typing aboutlugins .....
