    Angry Sheevaplug Support

I have recently discovered Ubuntu have stopped supporting the ARMv5 processor. Not sure if it is all or just specific devices. I recently purchased a plug computer which came with ubuntu on it.

This is such a shame, I have ubuntu on my laptop as well and really love this operating system but it looks like I am going to be forced into putting debian on my server to get any security updates.

Looking if there is any reason why Ubuntu decided to stop supporting this architecture? If they require testing or someone to do cross compiling I would be happy to help out with this as I would like to help support the community and hopefully keep ubuntu on all my machines.

Is there anyone else effected by this change?

I'm guessing either a) there wasn't enough demand to keep a port going or b) they lost some privilege from ARM which prevents them from continuing the development.

Both are pure speculation, but they usually don't stop supporting an architecture for no reason...
