Change language for one user

I would like to change the system language for one user on this system. I want the default language for everyone else to remain the same, so I can't just change the default.

How do I do this? I've been searching through the menues, but the language settings window only seems to be able to install or remove support for other language; it doesn't seem to be able to actually set anything.

I think you can find some help on ubuntu website,or if that doesn't work google is allways there,i finded one thing on how to do that on ubuntu website,but can't remmember the link.

Google was my first stop (after the built-in help), but it came up short this time. I could only find how to change the default language for the entire system.

Each user can choose what language he uses in the login screen.

Oh. xD I had totally forgotten about that. However, will that change the language for the next person to log in (unless he or she changes it back)?

No, it's a per-user setting so if one user sets the language in login screen then he's changing his language (and setting his default) and it doesn't affect any other users at all.

Same with any other settings, like selecting the session, each user chooses his own language and desktop environment.

(If you use Ubuntu 9.10 or later you'll notice that these options don't even appear until you have selected the user or typed a user name)

It will just change the langauge for account you selected nothing more.
