    Touchpad problem

    Hello!

I have a MacBook6,1 running Ubuntu 9.10 and, apart from the touchpad, everything is working perfectly.

The touchpad problem is the following: I am unable to drag and drop. The moment I click on a file (keeping the touchpad button pressed) I cannot use another finger to drag the file.

Presuming I didn't make a mistakes while installing/upgrading Karmic on my MacBook, is there any way to fix this?

    TIA

you might want to play a bit with the appletouch.fdi file in the /etc/hal/fdi/policy folder. For a MacBook 2,1 the Ubuntu teams says this.

    Re: Touchpad problem

I have also a macbook 6.1 and I have exactly the same problem as nmsbaeta "drag and drop" doesn't work and it's quite annoying. I think it is obviously not an install problem, but whole mac touchpad functions must be simply not supported.
Have you managed to fix it as suggested by linuxopjemac?
    Thanks

I'm sorry for taking so long to reply, but I had some problems with my ISP

I haven't yet tried anything - I'm using an USB mouse. After trying, I'll post my findings.

    Cheers!
