Here is my fstab for them:

I tried running chkdsk on the ntfs partition I'm trying to mount and I still get the Windows did not shut down properly message.
If anyone solves this please post!!!
please help, how to handle witch such error (I did everything what was written in 'how to'):
[root@lpawlik ~]#mount /dev/sda7
fusermount: unable to open fuse lock file
fuse_mount failed.
Unmounting: Uzytki
line in fstab looks like this:
/dev/sda7 /media/sda7 ntfs-fuse auto,gid=1001,umask=0002 0 0

This guide is outdated since there is a new and better ntfs supporting driver now.

This is a bit of a newbie question, but I am a newbie, so, It didn't work and i'm missing drives and I cannot write to the NTFS partition, and other partitions are smaller than they should be. How do I restore the system to how it was using the backup I made?
I did everything but after I reboooted I got this screen:
Unable to mount the selected volume.
mount: only root can mount /dev/hda1 on /media/windows
any help? I'm quite the ubuntu illiterate D: thanks in advance
