    Re: HTC Inspire question

Don't know the Inspire but I have (in the UK) an HTC Legend. On Android 2.1 all I had to do was connect the phone via the USB cable and off it would go to the net.

Now running 2.2 Froyo and within that OS is the ability to create a wireless hotspot. Do so then check in network manager on your computer/laptop, give it a minute to propagate, and you should see your new network connection available.

    Click to connect.

    Re: HTC Inspire question

Sorry, let me explain a bit better if I can.

Attaching by USB is fine, but not ideal. Setting up a wireless hotspot in Android is easy AND you can limit the number of users. So, not only will the connection need a password but it can, and mine is, limited to just one connection.
