    How do you remove KDE/Kubuntu

Usual story, I have ubuntu, but wanted to try KDE to see if I like it, I don't. Now I just want to make sure I don't break my system when I uninstall Kubuntu.

Should 'sudo apt-get remove kubuntu-desktop' remove all the KDE apps without breaking my system?

    Thanks

No matter how you choose to proceed i would definitely recommend a complete backup before you try to remove KDE.

One way to remove KDE is to follow these instructions:

But please note that there is always a risk to a operation like this.

Thank you. It actaully worked pretty well. Strangely, it removed a couple of wanted programs with it that were installed seperate from kde/kubuntu... like wine and vlc. But I just reinstalled them and everything was back to normal.
