Running the latest Ubuntu desktop install (14.10) and just recently set it to suspend after an hour. Today I was in the system via SSH and after an hour it went to sleep. I am assuming that Gnome determines the level of activity. Is it possible to have the SSH server keep the system awake? Can I issue a command to temporarily delay or turn off sleep when I hop on SSH?

I searched around for this, but couldn't find any answers.
