The select- and scrollbar-color is very feminine u don't think? Looks like a sweet. For a right man like me it's unacceptable *joking*

Yes that sounds like a capital idea. But...

@Impreza: System -> Preferences -> Appearance

Go to the interface tab and set it to display icons only.

..either I'm being daft or this setting isn't there in Lucid Alpha 3. So for any Lucid users who want to do this, take note: I had to tweak the "/desktop/gnome/interface/toolbar_style" key in gconf-editor to set it.

You know, KDE-4.4 doesn't look half bad. I especially like that they've stopped making the notification area a different colour to the rest of the panel. Looks much more slick and professional now.

I made some changes to my desktop's look.

Fresh e17, kept the default wall; somehow I don't get bored with that b_and_w theme, so it's the same as last month, still with my own gtk port for it. Conky of course on top with a panel behind it for consistency's sake when working with maximized windows. No docks or fancy stuff except the places module, and liking it. KISS.
