Hello!
I recently upgraded our Ubuntu Server from 9.04 to 9.10.
In the progress our samba primary domain controller got updated from >3.2.0 to 3.4.0.
Now, access of the shares is still possible via direct access \\IP\share.
But all windows XP machines complain about not being able to reach the domain controller anymore.
sudo pdbedit -L successfully lists some machines and my main user, but not all configured samba users.
nmblookup -A ASGARD (ASGARD is the domain) returns the following:
smbtree successfully lists my shares.Code:Looking up status of 0.0.0.0 ODIN <00> - H <ACTIVE> ODIN <03> - H <ACTIVE> ODIN <20> - H <ACTIVE> ..__MSBROWSE__. <01> - <GROUP> H <ACTIVE> ASGARD <1d> - H <ACTIVE> ASGARD <1b> - H <ACTIVE> ASGARD <1c> - <GROUP> H <ACTIVE> ASGARD <1e> - <GROUP> H <ACTIVE> ASGARD <00> - <GROUP> H <ACTIVE> MAC Address = 00-00-00-00-00-00
I should mention that, during the update, some *.tdb files could have changed.
Here's the smb.conf:
