I'll keep looking at these forums for a while yet as the sheer number of posts means there is usually something interesting to read.
You can only maintain interest for so long. Eventually you're pretty much set in terms of getting your system going and you don't have much about Linux to chat about, so... you move on.
Want me to punchisize your face, For free??
I was old, but then I changed my username; got banned, then am here now.
I laughed, I cried, I jumped with joy. I was here before Killroy. 8)
One thing that is keeping me from posting helpful information is that offshoots of Ubuntu are pointing people here for their support. For example, WUBI. I use Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu, or Eubuntu in their own partition or VM. I don't know anything about problems people are having with WUBI installations. I feel like the Ubuntu forum is becoming a dumping ground for offshoots that can't maintain their own support forum.

Use whatever OS or desktop works for you. Dual boot or use VMs if you want. Backup your computer regularly, and definitely before upgrading, partitioning, or installing an OS.
No support requests by PM please.
