Hey all, been trying for a while to get this working. Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 64-bit on a PC.

I have here an Apple Remote that came with a ~2007 MacBook (it works, no issue there), along with a "Philips eHome Infrared Receiver" that has a little red LED that comes on when I press something on the remote.

My problem is getting that signal to Ubuntu and XBMC - and I'm lost.

And here's the output of cat '/proc/bus/input/devices'.

I can't seem to find the receiver in there - perhaps that's why irw doesn't work, just throwing back "connect: No such file or directory".

Any ideas, tutorials or anything here would be extremely useful!
