    Re: Connect to Server Error

So when I choose to remove the version 1.5.1 it tells me that I need to remove all kinds of dependencies. I have went through synaptic and listed each program or package that is going to be removed....I'm wondering if the packages will reinstall when I choose version 1.4.1 to install it, or if I'm going to just have to install them all individually....will I run into problems?

    Re: Connect to Server Error

You should be able to install ubuntu-desktop to put them back. Installing gvfs will not automatically add them back.
since gnome-panel will be removed, you might need to run synaptic by pressing alt-f2 and typing gksu synaptic

    Re: Connect to Server Error

    GOT IT!!!

I had my list of everything removed, so I just used synaptic to remove it and then I went through the alpabetical list of ALL in synaptic to make sure that everything removed was installed again.

It is working just the way it ought to!

Thanks for the help. I was really worried that when I restarted my computer it wasn't going to come back into the desktop and I'd have to wrestle with command line to get everything back.
