A Handy Modification

Hi guys. I've seen this Mod being used on another vBulletin Forum:

When you start a new Thread, it will show all other Threads with similar titles.

Might be a good idea for this Forum, as it is so huge.

If you're interested, I can check the name of the Mod for you

I noticed it somewhere else as well, but got sidetracked by what I was researching at the time before I thought to suggest it.

I know when you start a new thread there is a link to check if there are other posts with the same title, is that what you are talking about? See screenshot.

Not exactly.

Let's say I want to start a new game Thread. I type the title, and then click in the message box:

Here's before:

And here's after I typed in the title

Suffice to say, from what I have read previously, there's basically no room for new features/plugins at the moment.

We used to have this, I can't remember why it went now though.

I think the current implementation of this is suitable for what we need, even if it is slightly less obvious

I appreciate it's unnoticable, but I rarely use it anyway

We disabled the one you mentioned. It worked well when we were smaller, but didn't scale well to a forum this size. (I think we may be the largest vBulletin based forum at the moment.)
