I had some problem with my @hotmail.com account I couldn't login anywhere so I made a new account its like my hotmail one was closed on me. Now the @live.com account is just fine.
I installed aMSN today only to get the error message 'Error connecting to server'. I also just signed into a new account with windows live. The confirmation email that confirms my email address was squirly. I copied and pasted the link into a browser initially to confirm the email, but kept getting sent to a page to have another email sent. Finally clicked on the link embedded in the confirmation email they sent me and I got the screen that said my email was confirmed. Up to this point I could not connect with aMSN or Pidgin. I could connect to windows live using a browser with no problem. I changed my password several times because some posters said that worked for them. But apparently the problem for me was that the email address never was completely confirmed.
