Hi guys
Just wondering if there is a team of ubunteers in Joburg?
The original point and click interface was The Smith & Wesson.
Yeah i am on the mailing list from a few months back. Work got in the way a bit so i wasn't to active on that. I also did some Afrikaans translations as well.
I was just wondering how active the JHB group was with launch parties and the like.

They have been having release parties.
Just a reminder, but with the internet, physical location nearly becomes obsolete. It *is* nice however to attend some physical events and meetings.

no physical meetups are aways more cool. Wasn't your release party last year much nicer then this years one?
I find the physical meets also cater to people that aren't as "geeky" and don't sit on irc/forums.
Yeah i think eye balling the people you work with on projects once in a while is actually a very nice touch... makes you remember your human

We recently had an ubuntu hour in stellenbosch. or on my blog.
Feel free to do the same thing in JHB it is a very cool and very simple thing to get done doesn't need to be complicated or any thing fancy just soemething that fits into your daily live.
Drop into IRC and you will meet a few others.
There is also a pretty active #glug.za on freenode with other linux users not only Ubuntu.
