    change back to gnome desktop

    I have xubuntu installed and want to go back to Ubuntu, but it is no longer installed. I know that I can use "sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop" to get back to a gnome desktop but will it have the default settings and applications that Ubuntu comes with(this is indeed what I would like to have)?

    Once you're back on Gnome, if you wish to remove the Xubuntu packages, you can use these instructions:
