File-roller & Drag n Drop

Hi

When I drag and drop something from file-roller onto my desktop, it doesn't stay where I dropped it. It just adds itself to the left, like when I would have dropped it onto the desktop folder icon in nautilus.
However, if I drag an image from firefox onto the desktop, it stays where I dropped it.

So to put my extracted files where I like them to be on my desktop, I first need to extract them (which works perfectly with drag and drop), But then I need to drag them to where I like them to be Again.

Any ideas to solve this?

edit: I tried to use other archive managers, but the same happens with Xarchiver and when using Ark there is a complete lack of drag and drop.
