    Install Help (Dual Boot)

So I have Win7 installed, and I left about 20 gigs unpartitioned.

And Im stuck at the partitioner step for Ubuntu 9.10,
not sure where to go from there.

I remember you can partition free space in 8.04 and 8.10. Unless im just imagining that. Then again I have really bad memory. :S

So, how do you mean you're stuck? Do you want to use that 20 gigs for Ubuntu? There should be an option for dual boot. Try reading this article. It says 9.04, but it should be the same as 9.10.

If the 20 GB is unpartitioned choose the use largest continuous free space option and ubuntu will create root & swap from the unallocated 20 GB.

If you wish to create your own partitions choose manual. If you choose install them side by side the partitioner will allow you to take space from windows- I don't think you want that option.
    Multi-boot: Arch linux, Ubuntu 12.04, Windows 7 & Windows 8
