Post Please mark solved and which #post did the trick

It would really be nice if more than 1 out of a 100 would mark their Thread as
Solved so anyone browsing though threads can either learn or find a solved Thread.

Yes it would be nice. Perhaps one could introduce a feature which might encourage it. Maybe some form of table with stars, it wouldnt mean anything of cource but neither do high scores in a computer game. One would be for marking posts as solving things, don't know how one could gear that to please egos....Humm "well done for fixing your problem" sort of thing. Puzzler, fixer, learner skill +1, I don't know need thought to get that one right. The other ranking would be much easier and based on how often their posts have been marked for fixing someone else's problem. I know that points for such things are rubbish really but high scores really do motivate some people. People with the Ubuntu spirit couldn't care less about points but it'd be a harmless side game which may encourage benificial behaviours. The important thing would be that people with problems would have a better chance of success when searching for solved threads, this would help themselves and reduce multiple postings on the same issue so taking some load of the site.

Silly extra thought. Could be "Ubuntu cricket". Batting and bowling averages. I suppose post would have to be one of three; a question, a solved answer or neither so something to do with feilding too maybe. Not sure how it would work and it would be very important that it did not discourage social interaction. "love to chat but I've got 4 for 60 and don't want to spoil it." Maybe play or not play and cafe excluded. Sorry haven't worked it out really but something about the pharse "Ubuntu cricket" just feels right.
