Angry Wireless Network Help (Connecting to a WPA2 Personal Access Point)

Hello, I have just installed Ubuntu 9.10 to a Alienware m9700i-RC1 Series laptop.
    (2.6.31-14-generic i686)

I am finding it hard to set up the wireless card to connect to my wireless router, its using WPA2.

Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection (rev 02)

Using the sticky in this forum I am able to post the following:

    wlan0 IEEE 802.11abg ESSID:""
    Mode:Managed Frequency:2.437 GHz Access Point: Not-Associated
    Tx-Power=15 dBm
Retry long limit:7 RTS thrff Fragment thrff
    Power Managementff
    Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
    Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0

wlan0 Failed to read scan data : Network is down
    Thanks.

Re: Wireless Network Help (Connecting to a WPA2 Personal Access Point)

I just installed 9.10 on a different partition on my ThinkPad W500, with a "Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5100 AGN [Shiloh] Network Connection".

I can't connect to my DLink AP configured with WAP2, but no problem connecting with another AP with WEP.

If I boot with my 9.04 partition, no problem connecting with the WPA2 AP.

Definitly a bug with 9.10.. but I can not find any fix so far...
