    Nautilus File in grid

    Hello

    I have a question: it's possible to put the file in nautilus in a free position (where i want) but align in a grid (like the desktop's icon)?

    Thanks for all

    Hmmm. you mean:

    Right Click on an empty space in Nautilus scroll down to
    Arrange Items-> and choose Manually.

    This way you can place files/folders the way you want them.

    Yes, perfect.

    But in this case it's not possible to align the icon to a grid.
    I think it's very useful have icons in order.

    Do you think there are some setting in gconf?

    thanks

    Hi ,

    I've checked in gconf but i can't find any other solution. There seems to be some sort of bug. Found a lots complaints on Launchpad that "allign to grid" doesn't work as it should. Sorry

    Maybe someone else could help you
