Can anyone please tell me how to setup a new device in bluetooth in ubuntu?? Each time I open the setup new device dialog, the search process is not visible nor any new devices are found.. Please help.

I have a desktop with ubuntu 9.04 and have a bluetooth dongle which works perfectly fine in windows xp. I don't know if any drivers are to installed in ubuntu.. My driver cd for bluetooth dongle supports only xp drivers. Please help.
