This is working perfectly for me on the 64bit version. Follow the instructions as in post #224 swapping out the new kernel version for each command.
    I would like to confirm that this works for me HP DM1-3020-US on 12.04 LTS

    Re: HP Mini 210 touchpad right click not working

    I have now patched the psmouse driver for the Ubuntu 12.04 kernel and will upload it here tonight: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1966016

    It's very similar to the patch I posted in #224 (for 11.04 Natty) and #265 (for 11.10 Oneiric) but this one is specifically for 12.04 (Precise).

    If it is working OK for you then probably no need to change but you would have been better off using the patch in post #18 of this thread for 12.04: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1966016&page=2

    I am not sure which instructions you are following but if you want to attempt an Ubuntu patch on Linux Mint 13 (I don't know if the kernels are exactly the same) then try my patch in post #18 here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1966016&page=2 Linux Mint 13 is based on Ubuntu 12.04 so it's "more likely" to work for you.

    Talking Re: HP Mini 210 touchpad right click not working

    Hi all,

    I'm using Xubuntu (Ubuntu + Xfce) 12.04, and about the 'right click issue', well, the touchpad right button does not work here but I have discovered I dont need to do anything, it works in another way . Follow me.

    This solution:

    $ sudo echo options psmouse proto=exps > /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe

    turns off the vertical and horizontal scrollings. It's not good.

    First of all we need to determ the type of Touchpad:

    $ egrep -i 'synap|alps|etps' /proc/bus/input/devices

    (Synaptics, ALPS or Elantech touchpad) mine Hpmini 210-1000 is synaptics.

    (For Elantech touchpad see:
    http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEeePC/H...antechTouchpad )

    Run:

    $ grep "TouchPad: buttons:" /var/log/Xorg.0.log

    as a result here:

    (II) SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad: buttons: left double triple

    'double' and 'triple' means two and three-finger multipad function (as on Mac's) and 'left' is a left mouse button. Where is the right mouse button?

    I've discovered using the command:

    $ synclient -l

    this part:

    RTCornerButton = 2
    RBCornerButton = 3
    LTCornerButton = 0
    LBCornerButton = 0
    ...
    ClickFinger1 = 1
    ClickFinger2 = 3
    ClickFinger3 = 0

    (RT = right top , LT= left top, RB= right bottom, and so on). The numbers mean: 1 - left mouse button emulation, 2 - middle button, and 3 - right.

    RTCornerButton = 2 > tap on right top corner and it works as the middle mouse button.

    So, 'RBCornerButton = 3' means: hey man, tap the right bottom corner of your touchpad and you have a right click mouse (3). And it works here!

    Another way:
    'ClickFinger2 = 3' means: click with two fingers on the 'right button area' and it also works as a right click mouse action! It works here, it was here and I didnt know! I have the right button, using these ways! So, no patch, no configuration needed.

    Also, we can set two-fingers vertical and horiz scrolling using this command:

    $ synclient VertTwoFingerScroll=1 HorizTwoFingerScroll=1

    and voila!
    (1 - turn on, 0 turn off). It also works here. (it does not work if you have used that command $ sudo echo options psmouse proto=exps > /etc/modprobe.d/psmouse.modprobe , so delete the psmouse.modprobe file and reboot. Then use synclient command.)

    We can set LTCornerButton and LBCornerButton with values 6 and 7, (L = tap the left corners of the touchpad, Top and Bottom). The 6 and 7 values function as the Back and Forward buttons in your browser, respectively. Very nice!

    (remember that iPod circular scrolling? we can try it:
    $ synclient CircularScrolling=1 CircularPad=1 CircScrollTrigger=8
