Hello.
Since a recent ubuntu update audio playback on my ubuntu machine seems to have sped up. Be it playing back an MP3 file through vlc, rythmbox or Mplayer to streaming youtube or internet radio, the audio output is faster than normal.
I think this might be down to the sample rate setting which Alsa is using.
Does anyone know what the problem is here?
If it is the sample rate that needs changing then please describe how to do so using the alsamixer; I believe there is a way this can be done by the single press of a key stroke in the alsamixer gui environment, I read about it some time ago, but can't seem to find that thread now.
Thanks
