Computer now requiring hard reboot 3x/day

To add to the previous Ubuntu problems:
    - Videos online not streaming properly
    - Can't upload pictures on Facebook
    - Can't access partitions

Now Ubuntu requires a hard reboot at least three times a day. This will happen randomly, not really connected to how many tabs or programs I have open or what I'm doing. The computer will freeze up, nothing will respond to keyboard commands, and the only thing I can do is move the mouse pointer (but it won't respond to clicks).

I'm about ready to throw up my hands and return to Windows XP.

When is the last time you cleaned your computers parts? (No pun)

I also think you should check your hardware before blaming Ubuntu. As warfacegod said, cleaning is good. Run memtest overnight. If your RAM is healthy, is should show zero errors. Get smartmontools and run that.
