Try getting your pointer in between the widgets and right clicking. You have to do that for Gnome's Notification Area. Your in KDE so I'm not sure what panel option would be appropriate. It sounds like what you deleted is called the Window Selector or Lister or something like that.

I'm wondering if what you deleted is a widget for KDE.

    Re: task bar help

I looked through the widgets, and it is one of them called TASK MANAGER. I tried to get it to show back up and sadly it didn't work for me. I just ended up reinstalling Kubuntu, and have to retype the paper. Thankfully I had a written crappy rough draft so it hopefully shouldn't take me to long to re type the paper. I had a crap load of other things added to it that I researched, but I should be all good to go. It's been so long since I've last used a Linux OS, and it's taking me longer than I thought to relearn everything. Last I really used was 8.04 and 9.04 is completely different from what I'm use to using. lol. Anyhow thank you all for the help, and if anyone new to using this OS DO NOT DELETE TASK MANAGER. It is a pain in the rear.
