A rant about Ralink

Ralink's Linux support is incredibly poor.

I tried to get my Belkin F6D4050 to work on Ubuntu, but no matter how hard I tried, it didn't work.

Their drivers are a mess; I can't get them compiled and installed, dkms can't use them either, it's just awful.

my ralink usb dongle has worked since 8.04. it probably works on older versions too.
