Update window location?

When i move a window, the movement is only registered once i'm done dragging it.
It's not a big problem, but there are some things i do for fun that this affects. For example, the google chrome experiment.. with the balls. If you shake the window, the balls bounce around it, but i can't do that. i have to click, drag, drop, and then watch the balls respond.

Can i change this?

What is your computer spec? Does it run slow? You may just not have the hardware power to do this?

.01 Go to System> Admin.> Hradware Driver and make sure the recommended video driver is activated.

02Go to System> Preferences> Appearance> Visual Effects tab> select Extra

my computer runs fine, and i have the extra effects running. It's not something my computer can't handle, it's just a setting that i can't seem to find. Thanks for the suggestions thus far

Try installing compiz that might work. Besides it's got some reeeally kewl effects of its own.

i've already got compiz lol. I tried disabling wobbly windows, but that didnt make a difference.

i bet you need to go into ccsm and disable lazy positioning
