    PRINTER PROBLEM di1610 HELP needed

    Hello!

I have ubuntu hardy on dad's desktop. I am trying to set up konica minolta (dialta) di1610 printer but it doesn't work. When i plug it in USB it recognizes it immediatly.
But when i try to print test page it says:"Printing to 'Di1610' failed with error code: 1034 is the printer paused ?" - but it's not paused.
When i try to print test page through printer configuration it says CUPS SERVER ERROR: There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'client-error-document-format-not-supported'.

It is urgent for my dad to use this printer because of his job.

    Please help!

I hope it is not the only solution to go back to windows...

    thanks!

Your printer isn't listed in the Openprinting database. I would check the cups web interface to see if the printer is paused there. To access the web interface, open your favorite browser and in the url bar type:

    http://localhost:631

Thanks, I will try that tomorrow... i had to install windows again but i will install ubuntu too so i can dual boot, and then do a research .

I guess i should look into that before i get all excited, and install new OS to my dad's computer

    thanks again for reply!
