ive been looking into speech to text, and im wondering what ubuntu has available for speaking into the mic, and having the pc write what you say. speech to text, not text to speech.

If you are running a 32 bit OS you might be interested in The Ubuntu Text Reader. It can read any text that you paste into it and you can customize it with different voices.
