Restart nautilus and you have your breadcrumbs and then the ctl-l / esc toggle method works.

On the subject of Nautilus, I've noticed a problem with the Wastebasket. If I delete a file to the Wastebasket, and that file gets recreated in the original location and also deleted, you now have both files in the Wastebasket. But if I want to restore one of them, how do I tell them apart? There is no way to know the deletion date which is stored in the .trashinfo files.

I wonder, is there any way to put nautilus tabs back to the top? They just don't suit me, down at the bottom, whatever the reasoning was...
