Prevent Certain Ip's from connecting

I've been playing a lot of halo through wine lately, and a lot of the times I host a game, there's always someone using some annoying hacks, so I'm wondering if there's anything I could possibly do.

Is it possible to get a player's ip address and prevent him from connecting to my game?

If you know their IP address, you could block it. I don't know anything about how halo runs, so I don't know if it would tell you the IP address from inside the server.

Could probably check local/remote connections, but that wouldn't tell you which IP address is the "hacker."
